Michael Fassbender’s Hit New 10-Part Spy Thriller Season Debuts To Rare Rotten Tomatoes Score

This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.

Michael Fassbender has brought one of his major TV roles back after a long hiatus.

While his X-Men days are behind him, Fassbender’s movie and TV gigs have only continued to expand over the last couple of years. In 2026, the German-Irish actor has now returned to the spy-thriller genre after leaving viewers waiting for over a year.

Fassbender finally reprised his leading role as Brandon Colby/Martian for The Agency season 2, after the spy thriller finished season 1 back in January 2025. With all 10 episodes now streaming, critics have been sharing their thoughts, which has led to the Paramount+ drama’s Rotten Tomatoes score debuting at 100%.

However, it’s crucial to remember that this score is subject to change, given that The Agency season 2 reviews are still being submitted about the new season. This means the current rating could go up or down in the coming days or weeks.

As of writing, The Agency season 2’s audience score has not debuted, since the new batch of episodes dropped on Sunday, June 21. The official rating will emerge in the coming days as users begin to submit their scores on Rotten Tomatoes.

In ScreenRant’s The Agency season 2 review, Felipe Rangel gave the sophomore season a 10/10, addressing how “the Paramount+ espionage thriller got better with every episode,” and after seeing all 10 episodes, he “can say that it has now reached its destination.” Rangel also added that “while spy series like Prime Video’s Citadel and Netflix’s The Night Agent might be more spectacle-oriented than Fassbender’s spy series, The Agency knows how to be effective with its more explosive beats, and the action in season 2 should keep viewers surprised, shocked, and glued to their screens all the way through.”

For the time being, it’s unclear if The Agency season 2 will be the show’s last or if Paramount+ will go forward with season 3. It will depend on how it performs on Paramount’s streaming service, especially as they are now releasing all episodes at once instead of doing weekly releases.

The Agency season 2 is now streaming on Paramount+.
