Newcastle United have identified Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko as a potential option to strengthen their strikeforce this summer, according to Daily Mail.

The Magpies have had a good Premier League campaign and they are currently just three points behind a potential Champions League spot for next season.

Irrespective of how the season ends, they are expected to spend big in the summer and reports claim that they are aiming to bring in a new striker for next term.

Alexander Isak has had niggles during his time at Tyneside and manager Eddie Howe is eyeing a young marksman, who can compete for places with the Swede.

Sesko is reportedly one of the names on the club’s radar. The RB Leipzig star has netted 17 goals in all competitions. He has been tipped to pursue a bigger challenge.

Arsenal are known to be interested in him over the past year, but the Magpies could compete with them. Sesko has a release clause worth €70m in his contract.
