Jujutsu Kaisen’s Culling Game Officially Returns Early In New Release Fans Weren’t Expecting

For anime fans eagerly waiting for the next chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, a surprising new project has arrived much sooner than expected. While Season 4 remains in production, the franchise has revealed an entirely new way for fans to experience the chaos of the Culling Game through a multiplayer video game inspired by one of the manga’s most intense story arcs.

The announcement via Nintendo of America comes at a perfect time for the series. Following the events adapted after the Shibuya Incident, the anime is preparing to dive deeper into Kenjaku’s deadly nationwide battle royale. Before that storyline officially returns to television, players will get a chance to enter a competitive version of the Culling Game themselves when Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton launches in 2026.

A New Jujutsu Kaisen Game Brings the Culling Game to Life

Shueisha Games and Vampire Survivors developer poncle have officially unveiled Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton, a multiplayer survival game based on Gege Akutami’s hit series. The title was revealed during a recent Nintendo Direct presentation and is scheduled to launch in 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The game transforms the Culling Game’s battle royale concept into a competitive multiplayer experience. Up to eight players can participate in a single match, fighting both cursed spirits and rival sorcerers while earning points. Like Vampire Survivors, attacks occur automatically, shifting the focus toward movement, positioning, and tactical decision-making.

One of the game’s most interesting mechanics is its “Rule Addition” system. After reaching 100 points, players can activate special rule changes that alter the flow of battle and disrupt opponents. The feature mirrors the constantly evolving rules seen throughout the Culling Game arc, where strategic changes often determined survival as much as raw strength.

More Than 20 Fighters and Season 4 News Are Coming Soon

The roster will include more than 20 playable characters drawn from across the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. Each fighter will feature unique abilities and playstyles, allowing players to experiment with different approaches. Additional characters can be unlocked by meeting specific requirements, encouraging long-term progression beyond simple multiplayer matches.

Fans can also unleash some of the series’ most iconic techniques. Signature moves such as Domain Expansions and Black Flash attacks will appear as powerful special abilities capable of dramatically changing the outcome of a battle. Boss encounters featuring dangerous cursed spirits and other major threats can also interrupt matches, adding another layer of unpredictability.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 Officially Announced: Everything We Know So Far

Jujutsu Kaisen gets an official announcement and teaser for Season 4, so here is everything we know so far about JJK’s Culling Game Part 2.

The timing of the announcement is particularly exciting because major Season 4 updates are arriving this month. During MAPPA’s 15th anniversary celebration on June 19, 2026, the anime’s official team will host a special Jujutsu Talk program featuring Yuji Itadori voice actor Junya Enoki and Yuta Okkotsu voice actor Megumi Ogata. New information about the upcoming season is expected during the event.

Season 4 will continue adapting the Culling Game, one of the largest and most ambitious arcs in the series. Following the collapse of Jujutsu society after the Shibuya Incident and Gojo’s absence from the battlefield, Kenjaku’s deadly tournament becomes the center of the story. With a new game arriving before the anime’s return and fresh updates scheduled for June, Jujutsu Kaisen fans suddenly have far more to look forward to than they expected.
