There’s a lot going on in the world of Pokémon right now, with the 30th anniversary of the franchise heralding a boatload of new releases and exciting announcements for fans to get stuck into. The TCG has a whole new set coming along that could easily be one of the biggest of the last few years, while we have also had confirmation of the first games of the tenth generation, Winds and Waves.

Outside of that, the existing releases tied to the franchise are also ticking along quite nicely, with several still being regularly updated to keep the content interesting. Arguably the chief among those right now is Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and the latest event brings a ton of potential rewards that players can earn for participating.

As reported by Game8, Ranked Battles Season 15 is now live in Pokémon Legends: Z-A with the event set to run until August 27. This time around, the ruleset lists only Water-Type Pokémon within both the Lumiose Pokédex and Hyperspace Pokédex as eligible for participation.

The list of Pokémon available from each Pokédex is as follows:

It’s also important to note that you’ll only be able to have one Kyogre in your line-up, as the Legendary ‘mon finds itself on the restricted list this time around. You’ll be playing against three other players at the same time in each battle, so it’s all about covering as many bases as you can with your selections and team make-up.

These events are more than likely to continue all the way up to the release of Winds and Waves, with Pokémon Legends Z-A almost certainly taking a back seat after that. There is a future for the game beyond that point, though, as we have seen with previous entries in the series already.
