Which Animal Crossing Villager Are You Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

There are a lot of villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, in fact, there are over 400 different friends that can move or visit your island, which is the largest number of possible characters since the franchise first started. These villagers can include a variety of animal types, or some that might not even be animals, and have their own little personalities.

Of course, some of the personalities of characters can be pretty similar based on the predetermined villager personality type and favorite hobbies. Yet, taking into consideration the personalities, species, hobby, and appearance, it’s easy to see some similarities between certain residents and the different astrological signs, as there is a surprisingly diverse roster among them.

For reference, each gender of villager has four personality possibilities: females can be Normal, Snooty, Peppy, or Sisterly, while males can be Lazy, Jock, Smug, or Cranky. Out of all 417 possible villagers, these are the 12 that best represent each member of the zodiac — even if their birthdays may technically make them another sign.

Aries – Fuschia

Much like a fiery Aries, Fuschia immediately stands out with her bright coloring and bold fashion choices. Her hobby is music, meaning she isn’t afraid to perform in front of a crowd, and her Big Sister personality makes her have strong convictions – occasionally to the point of being overbearing.

Compared to her character in New Leaf, she does seem to have settled down a bit by the time she comes to your island in New Horizons. However, her design request in the Happy Home Paradise DLC is for a place that reminds her of when she was a rebel, and it’s just like an Aries to eschew authority.

11

Taurus – Bob

An easygoing lover of food and naps, Bob is a great representation of the Taurus sign. His personality type is Lazy, aligning with one of the biggest Taurus stereotypes, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing. In Bob’s case, he’s just a homebody who enjoys staying in and talking to the bugs that live in his floorboards. Like Taurus’s who tend to lean to introvert, Bob is friendly to all but is happier by himself.

Much like a typical earth sign, he’s also a lover of nature, even besides the bugs in his floor. Bob’s Happy Home Paradise house request emphasizes this with the theme of gardening and nature as the focus.

Gemini – Chrissy

Though not technically twins like the Gemini symbol, rabbits Chrissy and Francine are one of the very rare instances of an in-game Animal Crossing family, with Chrissy being the younger of the sibling pair. They certainly look and act like twins in many ways, however, despite not sharing a birthday.

Of the two, Chrissy is arguably more representative of the Gemini sign, possessing the Peppy personality as opposed to her sister’s Snooty one. Just like the Peppy, upbeat bunny, Geminis are considered one of the biggest social butterflies of the zodiac, with a penchant for both engaging stories and the occasional gossip.

9

Cancer – Gayle

Known for being one of the most loving and loyal signs, the adorable alligator Gayle is a total Cancer. Literally displayed on her forehead, this villager has a big heart and openly shows a great deal of care towards the player.

Additionally, she can be quite sensitive and a bit of an overthinker. In fact, she’s been known to ask the player to deliver apology gifts to other villagers for something she said, only for the recipient to be confused or say they’d already forgotten what transpired. Cancer is also a big caregiver sign, and Gayle’s biography in AC: Pocket Camp fittingly says she’s “only happy when everybody else is.”

8

Leo – Ankha

Unapologetically bold and opinionated, Egyptian cat Ankha is quite similar to the Leo sign. In both her home decor and attire, Ankha stands out just like the confident fire sign. When you also add in her Snooty personality type, she aligns well with the stereotypically opinionated Leo.

Though considered by some to be an overrated New Horizons villager, it is mainly due to her uniqueness making her stand out from the crowd. Her rampant popularity is double-edged sword that’s not unfamiliar to the vivacious and unique Leo sign.

7

Virgo – Tia

Elegant and organized, this elephant is absolutely a Virgo. For a sign that’s known for being deeply into cleanliness and organization, Tia’s maid outfit feels quite appropriate, as does her immaculate home interior. Even with such a nice home, Tia will often express embarrassment that she thinks it’s too messy when players visit, much like the perfectionist Virgo.

The grounded nature of an earth sign is quite analogous to Tia’s Normal personality type, and the adage of an elephant never forgetting might just as well apply to a Virgo keeping track of a busy schedule.

6

Libra – Goldie

Goldie is a golden retriever, arguably one of the dog breeds most known for being a people pleaser. The Libra sign is known for this trait as well, trying to avoid conflict and make loved ones happy whenever possible. This idea is seen in Goldie’s photo quote, “A little bit of happiness is better than a lot of anguish,” emphasizing the value the canine places on deriving as much joy from life as possible.

Libras are also known to be hopeless romantics, and an amusing previous quote from Goldie’s Animal Crossing: Wild World photo reflects this, commenting on how the labrador gracing the cover of Nintendogs is cute.

5

Scorpio – Cherry

Both cute and slightly scary, Cherry is an excellent embodiment of the Scorpio sign. Scorpio is often considered the spookiest sign, with its astrological season encompassing Halloween, and Cherry’s goth aesthetic perfectly fits in with that idea.

The water sign is known for being intense, mysterious, and cryptic, which lines up well with the philosophical quote on Cherry’s photo: “One dog barks at something, the rest bark at him.” Despite the spookiness, Cherry has the Big Sister personality, which helps make this dog villager come off as quite intuitive, much like a human Scorpio generally is.

4

Sagittarius – Dom

Extremely energetic, loud, and a bit braggadocious could be used interchangeably to describe either a Sagittarius or the sheep villager Dom. Once voted in a poll to be the most popular AC:NH villager, Dom lives up the fire sign’s reputation of being widely well-liked, though his incredibly passionate personality and childlike nature isn’t for everyone.

His photo quote that emphasizes being “true to your most shiny self” is a deeply Sagittarius statement, and his sunny disposition aligns well with the archer’s indelible optimism.

3

Capricorn – Raymond

So dedicated to the grind that his home interior is an office space, Raymond is the clear choice to represent Capricorn. A brand new character introduced in New Horizons, the bespectacled cat became a somewhat divisive addition within the Animal Crossing community, much like the winter earth sign.

With the Smug personality, Raymond captures a lot of the same stubborn, always-right energy that a Capricorn is stereotypically known for. The feline’s Capricorn-esque perfectionism shines through with his coifed hair and fancy suit, and it’s easy to see why he became a favorite for so many just like the confident cardinal sign.
