Maguire to West Ham?

West Ham United will seek to sign Manchester United defender Harry Maguire on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to Football Insider.

The England international missed the last few months with a hamstring injury, but he has been brilliant recently with stellar displays against Manchester City and Arsenal.

Maguire’s current contract expires at the end of June, and it is claimed that the Hammers will explore a free transfer if he can’t pen fresh terms with the Red Devils soon.

United have jumped back into the top four after sublime wins over Man City and Arsenal. They are now in a strong position to push for Champions League qualification.

If they were to qualify for any European competition, it could pave the way for Maguire to pen a new contract, given the need for a bigger squad to handle the workload.

United’s stance on Maguire could become clear in the coming weeks.
