Steam Drops New Open-World Game That's Completely Free To Download

Steam has just dropped a new open-world game that you can download and keep forever, no strings attached. There’s been a nice influx of freebies to grab on the platform lately. Though the latest Next Fest has come to an end, with several of the free demos being removed, there are still entirely free titles to claim. The new open-world free game on Steam is called Mesozoic Dawn. Developed and published by NEXTINDIE, the title is an online multiplayer survival game, not unlike ARK: Survival Evolved. However, instead of controlling a human who has to survive a harsh world filled with dinosaurs and other creatures, you will be controlling a dinosaur. You’ll start off as a juvenile dinosaur, surviving and growing in a rendering of prehistoric wilderness.

However, through the Spawn & Evolve system, you’ll be able to go through an evolutionary process, which will allow your species to become the apex of the ecosystem. There are over 70 species to pick and evolve into in this free dinosaur game on Steam. Mesozoic Dawn has deep survival gameplay systems to keep players on their toes, including hunger, thirst, stress, and injury, as well as temperature, humidity, and oxygen, which will affect every decision you make.
