The latest ICC Men’s Player Rankings have brought significant movement across the ODI and T20I charts following a busy period of white-ball cricket. Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza was one of the biggest beneficiaries after his impressive performances against Australia, while several England players also made notable gains against Sri Lanka.

Raza scored 45 and an unbeaten 81 in the final two ODIs against Australia and also picked up three wickets across the series. His performances moved him to second in the ODI all-rounder rankings with 276 points, narrowing the gap with Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai at the top.

Raza’s batting form also helped him climb five places to 24th in the ODI batting rankings. He finished the series as Zimbabwe’s leading run-scorer and added two wickets in the series decider, although Australia eventually secured a one-run victory. Nathan Ellis, meanwhile, climbed three places to 17th in the ODI bowling rankings after finishing as the leading wicket-taker in the series.

He took four wickets in the final two matches after claiming his maiden ODI five-wicket haul earlier in the series. Australia wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis also made significant progress, moving up 11 places to 30th in the ODI batting rankings. His century in the final ODI was his second in the format.

Jamie Overton, Harry Brook among England’s biggest movers

England’s white-ball series against Sri Lanka produced some of the biggest ranking gains. Jamie Overton climbed 47 places to enter the top 10 in the Men’s T20I bowling rankings after his impressive performances in England’s series win. Will Jacks also moved up 35 places to joint-37th in the ODI batting rankings after scoring 46 and taking five wickets in the opening ODI. His performances also helped him rise 15 places to joint-58th in T20I bowling and three places to third among T20I all-rounders.

Harry Brook continued his rise across formats after helping England complete a 3-0 T20I series win over Sri Lanka. The England captain moved five places to fourth in the T20I batting rankings after scoring 237 runs in the series, while his 67 in the opening ODI lifted him three places to 12th. India captain Shreyas Iyer also climbed seven places to 22nd in the T20I batting rankings, while Sri Lanka’s Dunith Wellalage rose seven spots to 22nd among ODI all-rounders. Jos Buttler moved up two places to joint-fifth in the T20I batting rankings after finishing the series as England’s leading run-scorer.
