Ronaldo returns to starting line-up as Mane finds magic winner

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the Al Nassr starting XI and saw his side come from 2-0 down to win at Al Ettifaq despite being down to 10 men inside 12 minutes.

Goalkeeper Bento saw the early red card for Ange Postecoglou’s side and they were 2-0 down heading into the final 20 minutes.

But two late goals from former Liverpool man Sadio Mane and one for Abdulelah Al Amri earned an incredible win which continued their unbeaten start to their Saudi Pro League title defence.

Ronaldo was a substitute last Friday as he made his first appearance since the World Cup in a 4-0 win at Al Riyadh.

And he lasted 45 minutes on Tuesday night before being replaced as former Tottenham boss Postecoglou looked to plug the gaps left by Bento’s early red card.

The keeper raced off his line to try and deal with a quick ball over the top but only succeeded in taking down former Fulham and Celtic striker Moussa Dembele.

Goals from Ondrej Duda and Alvaro Medrán had Al Ettifaq in control but Mane then ran through to poke home a goal that sparked a crazy fightback.

Al Amri scored straight away to level things up and then in added time Mane again found himself clean through and he calmly buried the winner which stood after a check for offside.
