Delap moves to Forest

Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of striker Liam Delap, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Englishman had a poor debut campaign with the Blues last term. He netted just two goals in all competitions for the west London giants.

Delap’s future has been a regular topic of speculation in recent weeks, and he will now make the switch to Forest in a deal worth £45 million.

The striker has been convinced to join Forest after speaking with manager Oliver Glasner, who has assured him of regular playing time.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will also be pleased with the transfer. They will secure a £15m profit on the £30m spent to bring him from Ipswich Town.

The Blues could still sanction another striker departure before the deadline. Nicolas Jackson could be on his way out in the next few days.

Aston Villa have emerged as a possible destination for the Senegalese star. He could depart for a package in the region of £60m, as per reports.
