It is hard to believe that, despite many considering it to be a modern-day classic, Red Dead Redemption 2 is yet to even celebrate its 10th anniversary, especially as that means a potential Red Dead Redemption 3 is likely many years away. However, what is unsurprising, is how popular the Rockstar hit is to this day, with many considering it to be the studio’s magnum opus. Well, at least until the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI in just over two months.
Taking place during the decline of the American Wild West, Red Dead Redemption 2 follows the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan who must deal with the ever-changing world and the decline of his gang, all whilst navigating a stunning open-world full of challenges, heartbreak, and in Arthur’s case, redemption.
Now hailed as one of the greatest video games of all time, it is no surprise that fans still return to the action-adventure title to this day, but this is in part due to the inclusion of Red Dead Online. Much like it’s Grand Theft Auto Online cousin, Red Dead Online allows players to create their very own outlaws and take on a series of quests and activities in order to make that all-important gold.
Launching just a month after Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online has welcomed a steady playerbase, and whilst it may not have received the same attention as Grand Theft Auto Online, it still welcomes monthly and rotating content, and September is no exception.
Throughout the month of September, Red Dead Online players can earn triple rewards by taking part in any Moonshine-related activities. Not only that, but emotes, returning limited-time clothing, 3x RDO$, and XP are also up for grabs.
The cities, towns, and outlying fortifications of the frontier are craving the harder stuff. Satiate their thirst by completing Moonshiner Sales to earn 3X RDO$, Role XP, and XP all month long, and get a range of additional bonuses and tripled payouts in Moonshiner Story Missions, Free Roam Missions, and more.
Whilst the first week may be done and dusted, the second week of exclusive items has begun, and between September 8-14, players who complete a Moonshiner Sale will earn the ‘This Guy’ emote. However, the full list of freebies is as follows:
- September 1–7: Ta-Da Emote
- September 8–14: This Guy Emote
- September 15–21: Black Woodland Gloves
- September 22–28: Blue Plaid Cap
- September 29–October 5: Black Winter Shotgun Coat
Not only that, but taking part in Featured Series throughout September will see you bag 3X RDO$ and XP all the way up to 5 October. The full playlist, including the current series, is listed below:
- September 1–7: Hardcore Plunder and Spoils of War Series
- September 8–14: Lemoyne Series
- September 15–21: Hardcore Last Stand
- September 22–28: Ambarino Series

As you can see, each new week in Red Dead Online offers a batch of limited-time freebies for you to enjoy, and so even if you log on and complete a brief mission, it will definitely be worth it.
