Pokémon Officially Returning To Sinnoh For New Release

To celebrate the launch of Pokémon Day, which took place earlier this year, Pokémon teamed up with Lego to bring fans three main building sets and two exclusive promotional items, including sets dedicated to Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Eevee, as well as an impressive Pikachu figure jumping out of a giant Poké Ball.

With any collaboration between The Pokémon Company and Lego selling out in record-breaking times, it is no wonder that another batch of Pokémon figures is set to launch, at least that is what a brand-new leak suggests. Not only that, but it seems as though this upcoming collection will make use of Lego’s latest Smart Brick technology, which aims to add sensors, a sound synthesizer, and a gyroscope to standard bricks in order to make play a lot more dynamic.

According to the leak courtesy of reputable LEGO news and leaker Brick Built Blogs over on Twitter/X, there are eight brand-new Pokémon sets expected to launch throughout 2026, three of which have not been leaked before. Reportedly launching on 1 August, these are the currently rumored sets, but it is still worth noting that many of these have previously been linked before, excluding the Mew, Bidoof, and Garchomp sets which are new to this leak.

  • 18+ Sets:

    • Munchlax, set number 72150
    • Poke Ball with minifigures, set number 72154
    • Arcanine, set number 72160
    • Rayquaza, set number 72168
  • Smart Play Sets:

    • Jigglypuff, set number 72159
    • Mew, set number unknown (starts with 721)
    • Bidoof, set number unknown (starts with 721)
    • Garchomp, set number unknown (starts with 721)

The Mew, Bidoof, and Garchomp sets will arrive with Smart Brick technology, which is not good news for those who are not onboard with this new iteration of Lego, but there is no denying that these three would be an excellent addition to your Pokémon Lego collection, especially with Mew and Garchomp being fan favorites. Not only that, but with Bidoof and Garchomp being Sinnoh Pokémon, this is the official return we have been waiting for, even if it does come in the form of a brand-new mainline Pokémon game.

As mentioned, these brand-new sets have not yet been announced by Lego or The Pokémon Company, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. However, with a reported August release date, if the sets are real, we can expect to see them announced fairly soon, and then, it is time to start saving!
