PlayStation Plus Users Warned They’ve One Last Chance To Grab This Free Game

We’re almost to the midpoint of May, which means PlayStaition Plus will be adding its Extra and Premium games soon. That does, however, come with the caveat that a number of games will also be leaving the service. While a number of games left PS Plus last week, even more will be removed soon.

Right now, PlayStation Plus is set to remove a number of titles from its Extra and Premium tiers ahead of next Tuesday, May 19. That means you have about a week left to play these games before they’re gone. Over on Reddit, fans are already warning others of the upcoming removal, sparking a lot of appreciation for at least one horror game that’s currently free: The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope.

Little Hope (Dark Pictures Anthology) is leaving soon,” reads the original post on Reddit. “It’s worth a play for narrative fans.” The survival horror game is pretty interactive and cinematic, offering up narrative choices along the way. Little Hope‘s reviews have been respectable, even if the debate over which Dark Pictures Anthology game is best is still ongoing.

Starring Will Poulter, Little Hope features various playable characters that may or may not survive the night based on your decisions. You’ll experience a storyline that involves a bus of students going through the town of Little Hope, with flashbacks taking place in the 70s and focusing on a family there. It’s an interesting narrative structure with some really intriguing moments, but its ending remains controversial and is at least partially responsible for some of the mixed reviews out there.

The same Reddit thread shows player reactions that are just as mixed as the original reviews back in 2020, with some people saying it’s their favorite Dark Pictures Anthology game and others ranking it at the bottom. While it’s on PlayStation Plus, it’s definitely worth checking out. As one user on Reddit noted, “It’s on ps+ tho, so you can try it and then, if you don’t like it, just uninstall it.”

You can beat Little Hope in around 5 hours, so you still have plenty of time to beat it before it leaves PS Plus next week. The good news is that a batch of new titles for Extra and Premium members will be added to PlayStation Plus around the same time, so there should be some solid additions to fill the void left behind by any of the games that are leaving like this one.
