View Chelsea summer 2026 transfer targets
Newcastle United could step up their pursuit of Chelsea striker Liam Delap at the end of the season, according to The Daily Mail.
The Englishman has endured a difficult debut season with the Blues. He has netted just two goals from 38 appearances in all competitions.
Chelsea have not shown any intention to sell Delap for now, but the Magpies are closely monitoring the situation ahead of the summer.
The Tyneside outfit are definitely interested in the former Ipswich Town man, and are prepared to swoop if the Blues are willing to sell.
The Blues purchased him for just £30m from the Tractor Boys, and may seek a profit to sanction his sale in the next transfer window.
Delap believes he can turn around his Blues career next term, but the prospect of playing regular first-team football could tempt him.
At Chelsea, he may continue as a second-choice striker behind Joao Pedro. He will have to earn his starting spot at the west London giants.
