All Flame Pillar Locations In Nokron (Regal Ancestor Spirit)

Similar to Elden Ring‘s Ancestor Spirit of Siofra River, the Regal Ancestor Spirit can only be encountered once Tarnished have lit all flame pillars of Nokron, Eternal City. The Regal Ancestor Spirit is an optional boss, but many adventurers might wish to challenge the fabled beast to earn its unique Remembrance. The location of the Regal Ancestor Spirit, Nokron, is the upper part of Siofra River’s map in Elden Ring.

The Eternal City of Nokron isn’t accessible until a Tarnished player has defeated Scarscourge Radahn in Elden Ring. This major boss’ defeat causes a massive star to fall into Limgrave, creating a huge crater that opens a path to Nokron. Travelers can go south of Mistwood in East Limgrave to find this crater, which will put them on the path leading to the underground city.

Every Nokron Flame Pillar’s Location In Elden Ring

Light Six Pillars In Noktron, Eternal City

In Nokron, Eternal City, six flame pillars must be ignited for players to defeat the Regal Ancestor Spirit boss in Elden Ring. These are easier to find than those in Siofra River, with fewer enemies and no formidable archers getting in the way. Once you arrive here, you’ll need to make your way to the Ancestral Woods in the north to face the Regal Ancestor Spirit once every flame pillar has been lit.

Unlock all Sites of Grace in the area for safety, and utilize Torrent, to swiftly move between pillars and avoid enemies.

One of the biggest obstacles on this route, however, is the Mimic Tear mini-boss located in a giant overpass between some of the pillar locations. This enemy will copy all of your gear and skills, making for a formidable opponent depending on your build. Once the Mimic Tear is defeated, you’ll have multiple routes open to start lighting up flame pillars for your eventual Regal Ancestor Spirit battle.

The first obelisk can be found alongside the main path of Ancestral Woods connected to the overpass. Descend the hill from the bridge and turn right. Cross the road and take the rock path uphill. Crest the hill to find the pillar near the cliff on the left side of the road after the bridge.

Be wary of the two Ancestral Followers patrolling the road, with a herd of goats. They deal heavy damage if your character has low Vigor, making your journey through Nokron much harder.

This pillar will be shown initially as a simple brazier sitting inside a shrine with glowing blue-green runes. The bridge makes this first pillar easier to spot, so just travel along the edge of this particular map until you come across this pillar. From here, you can use the first pillar as a starting point to find the others.

Nokron, Eternal City Flame Pillar 2

The second flame pillar is southwest of the first. Turn right, around from the first pillar, and head into the forest. Finally, go around the large stone pillar on the left side, to find the second brazier sitting near the cliff ledge. Proceed with caution, as two more Ancestral Followers in Elden Ring are roaming near it with a herd of goats.

In case you’re having trouble finding this pillar, make sure you don’t go past the path between two large trees on the southwest path. Doing this will not only put you at odds with the Ancestral Followers, but also easily miss the pillar statue itself. Once again, hanging near the edge of the cliffs will help you spot this landmark easily.

Nokron, Eternal City Flame Pillar 3

Return to the road and continue westward to encounter two more Ancestral Followers. An Ancestral Follower Shaman singing atop a hill stands beside the third flame pillar on the left side. It is possible to ignore the Shaman by ascending the slope behind the brazier and lighting the fire unnoticed.

Going back to the first pillar and traveling north up the road past it is a good way to get on track to discovering the third pillar.

You should spot the pillar statue on the left side of the road on a small slope, indicated by the stone looking out of place on the path. It shouldn’t even take you a minute to travel from the first pillar to the third, so be on the lookout early.

Nokron, Eternal City Flame Pillar 4

Continue down the road, west from the third pillar, along the southwestern cliff, riding through a patchy forest towards a rocky spire. You will find Nokron’s fourth flame pillar on the far western side atop a small rostrum. The platform will be crowded with woodland creatures and Followers enchanted by a Shaman’s song, with a Lesser Red Wolf Radagon mini-boss and a pack of wolves present.

While it is feasible to sneak around the stage to the pillar, the brazier faces toward the crowd, meaning the enemies will become hostile when the player lights the fire. It’s therefore best to fight the mini-boss rather than risk losing progress and backtracking to the pillar.

The mini-boss in this area is Lesser Red Wolf Radagon, an opponent players may have already faced back in Raya Lucaria Academy prior to fighting Radahn. This foe is dangerous in Nokron because you fight them in a far more enclosed space, making their attacks slightly less predictable to counter. Hold your ground and defeat this foe for a good number of runes and an open path to search for the two remaining flame pillars.

The next flame pillar sits in the far northwest of the woods, past the broken overpass and near the submerged ruins. From the giant spire, head up a small hill through the rocks, to find a small colony of Frenzied rats and two Shamans guarding the brazier.

To handle the rats, use AOE spells to eliminate them all at once. Melee players can use Throwing Daggers from a distance to prevent them from swarming while fighting the Shamans in Elden Ring.

The open hills past the monument with many stone pillars lies on the upper left path of the Ancestral Spirit’s corpse. Spotting the archway structure beyond the cliffs in this region is the easiest way to get in the right spot where the pillar is.

Nokron, Eternal City Flame Pillar 6

For the sixth and final brazier, go east toward the bridge. A short distance down the path, you’ll find a small ruined plaza on the left with a Shaman, several Ancestral Followers, and a herd of deer. The last pillar is hidden behind a giant rock to the south of the clearing, where the road from the bridge turns north and ends in a three-sided rectangular structure.

Once all the obelisks have been lit, head to the ruins of Hollowhorn Grounds just a bit further east from the last pillar. After bypassing the Ancestral Followers, Tarnished can interact with the deer carcass in the eastern corner of the Ancestral Woods to unlock the Regal Ancestor Spirit boss fight in Elden Ring.
