The revolution will continue in Netflix’s Money Heist.

Netflix’s record-breaking crime series took the world by storm and went from being an almost-canceled Spanish series into one of the streaming giant’s most-watched non-English series ever. Money Heist achieved worldwide fame and won an international Emmy for Best Drama Series, and has become an icon in pop culture due to its themes of rebellion and the anti-fascist song “Bella Ciao.”

Ahead of the premiere of season 2 of Berlin, the flagship series Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) has had a surprising renewal announcement. Netflix has not yet confirmed if it will be a new season of the original series, a spin-off, or a direct continuation from the original story, but the Money Heist universe is expanding.

More to come…
