Marvel’s Best Sci-Fi Fantasy Trilogy Stuns Audiences With Rotten Tomatoes Trifecta

The fall season is bringing success to the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise.

The MCU timeline is only two months away from getting to one of its last major Phase 6 movies, with Avengers: Doomsday bringing Earth’s Mightiest Heroes together to face off with Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. However, before the major December release, Disney+ is concluding a beloved trilogy for Marvel Studios.

The first two episodes of VisionQuest have premiered on Disney+, and viewers are making their voices heard about the Phase 6 drama, as the audience score has debuted for the latest TV show on Disney+ on Rotten Tomatoes. As of writing, the MCU TV series is sitting at 84%, while also being certified fresh at 84%.

Serving as the third and final installment in the WandaVision trilogy, the 2026 entry continues a solid streak for Marvel Studios, as the 2021 show is at 92% based on 428 submitted reviews and 88% on the Popcornmeter. The Agatha All Along spinoff, which debuted in 2024, is tied with the VisionQuest TV show when it comes to the critics’ rating, as it is also at 84%, while the Phase 5 project’s audience score is 82%.

Choose the movie with the higher Rotten Tomatoes score.

In ScreenRant’s VisionQuest review, which received a 9/10 rating, the Paul Bettany-starring offshoot was praised for how “every character has a distinct and unique voice, personality, and style that just makes this series a joy to watch, and adds so much vibrancy to a character who literally had all of the color drained out of him in his last MCU appearance.” Addressing Terry Matalas’ showrunning with the Disney+ Original, the creative was celebrated for how he “has an incredible ability to tap into the heart of the MCU, extract numerous powerful pieces of dialogue, and build them up even further in a way that feels like it was written into the fabric of the MCU from the beginning.”

Even though the show will conclude the WandaVision trilogy, Matalas shared with ScreenRant’s Liam Crowley for the VisionQuest cover story that he is open to continuing to explore these characters. Whether that would be as season 2 or a new spinoff like Avengers: The Children’s Crusade, the showrunner stated, “Look, that’s up to the Marvel guy. I would love nothing more than to do something like that. Well, I would love that. As long as the rest of the family could come along, and that may include Ultron. Again, there’s nothing [in the works], but I would love it.”

For the time being, Marvel Studios and Disney+ have not indicated whether or not they will renew VisionQuest for another season. This is also the last new MCU TV title for The Multiverse Saga, while Daredevil: Born Again season 3 will premiere sometime in 2027 as part of Phase 6, wrapping up its three-year run.

As VisionQuest is off to a solid start with critics and audience members, time will tell how the world connects with the rest of the season, as there are still six more episodes left to air before its finale in November. But based on the initial reactions, the WandaVision trilogy is eyeing a solid critical conclusion.

VisionQuest releases new episodes on Tuesdays at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT on Disney+.
