Manchester United are yet to make any contact with the representatives of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Nigerian ace is currently on loan with Galatasaray in the Turkish top-flight. He has fared well with 22 goals in all competitions.

There is speculation that he will pursue a new challenge in the summer, but Romano claims that United are not weighing up an approach.

Napoli are prepared to sell the 26-year-old for his release clause worth £75m. There is interest from many suitors, but United are not involved.

United are unsure of the transfer budget at the moment. It could be pretty limited if they don’t qualify for the Champions League next term.

The Red Devils are currently languishing 14th in the league and may have to win the Europa League to qualify for the elite competition.

For now, the club are playing the waiting game. The transfer budget will be decided depending on how their campaign ends later this year.
