Man Utd want to sign Portuguese star after Patrick Dorgu

Quenda to join United soon?

Manchester United want to land the signature of Sporting CP wonderkid Geovany Quenda despite signing Patrick Dorgu this winter.

Dorgu joined the Red Devils from Lecce in the recent transfer window. He has the ability to play as a right or left wing-back.

Despite this, the club are also exploring a deal for Quenda, who made his senior debut under manager Ruben Amorim last year.

Amorim played him from the right wing-back role. With Amorim’s move to Old Trafford, Quenda has operated from the left wing.

Talks are already ongoing behind the scenes. United will reportedly need to pay around £50m to sign the highly-rated teenager.

Quenda is only 17 years of age, but he has already made nine goal contributions from over 30 appearances this campaign.

He has been described as the next big thing from Portugal and United clearly have an upper hand over their rivals in the race.

Quenda is expected to prefer a reunion with Amorim.
