View Man Utd summer 2026 transfer targets
Manchester United are expected to step up their pursuit of Roma midfielder Manu Kone in the next few days, according to Sport Mediaset.
The Red Devils have already signed two midfielders in Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans this summer, and they are determined to land a third.
A holding midfielder with vast experience is preferred, and reports claim they have already made contact with Kone’s agents this month.
No formal approach has been made to Roma, but the Giallorossi expect some proposal from the Red Devils in the upcoming week.
Kone is presently with France at the World Cup but will return to Europe next week. He wants to sort out his future before his vacation.
United are the frontrunners to sign him at the moment, but they are not alone, with Arsenal and Chelsea also linked with the 25-year-old.
Atletico Madrid were previously keen on landing his signature, but Kone has made it clear that he wants to move to the Premier League.
