Leeds storm into two-goal lead as Martinez sent off for Manchester United

Leeds are in control at Old Trafford with a 2-0 lead over Manchester United, with the game being swung further in their favour following a controversial red card for Lisandro Martinez.

The visitors made a fast start and were rewarded early when Noah Okafor opened the scoring inside five minutes, finishing smartly after confusion in the United defence.

Leeds continued to press aggressively and doubled their advantage before the break, with Okafor grabbing his second via a deflected volley.

By half-time, Leeds were fully deserving of their lead, having created significantly more chances and looked sharper in midfield and attack.

A further turning point of the second half came just before the hour mark when Martinez was sent off following a VAR review.

The Argentine was adjudged to have pulled the hair of Dominic Calvert-Lewin in an off-the-ball incident, with the referee upgrading the decision to a straight red card after consulting the pitchside monitor.
