Inter Milan are interested in signing Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider.
Martinez could have left Villa last summer, and the future of the Argentine goalkeeper is once again the subject of speculation. Inter are looking for a goalkeeper to replace Yann Sommer, and Martinez reportedly ‘ticks their boxes for a world-class keeper’.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper has been on the books of Villa since 2020, when he joined from Arsenal. Martinez won the FA Cup with the Gunners, and has won the 2022 World Cup and the 2021 and 2024 Copa America with Argentina. The goalkeeper is under contract at Villa until the summer of 2029.
Villa are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 58 points from 34 matches, while Inter currently find themselves at the top of the Serie A standings with 79 points from 34 games.
