Forza Horizon 6: How To Sell Cars

Forza Horizon 6 is overflowing with cars to find and drive as you work your way across the beautiful Japanese landscape. With so many options at your disposal, however, there are certain to be cars you just don’t vibe with — and that’s perfectly reasonable. But what exactly do you do with cars you don’t want? You sell them, of course.

Selling cars in Forza Horizon 6 is not only a great way to rid yourself of unwanted vehicles, though. It’s also the best way to get some extra money, which is especially exciting when you’re selling a rarer car that can bring in the big bucks. Whether you just want to ditch a car you dislike, or you’re trying to save up more money for one you really want, here’s how to sell cars in Forza Horizon 6.

How To Sell Cars In Forza Horizon 6

As with previous entries in the Forza Horizon franchise, Forza Horizon 6 utilizes an Auction House system for selling vehicles. This means that there is no way to directly or instantly sell cars to other players (or NPCs, for that matter). Instead, you’ll need to list your car in the Auction House at a competitive price and hope that someone is interested in purchasing it.

Luckily, there are plenty of players who are eager to collect every car in the game, so unless you’re trying to sell an extremely common car, you stand a reasonable chance of getting a buyer. Even common cars may eventually sell, though you’ll want to price them very competitively and be willing to wait a while for someone who just happens not to have it yet.

To begin auctioning a car, head to any Festival Site or Player House, then follow the steps below:

Scroll to Buy & Sell
Select Auction House
Select Start Auction
Choose the car you want to sell
Select Auction Car

After following these steps, you’ll need to decide how much to start your auction at, as well as the buyout price, which allows players to skip bidding and simply pay a premium to get the car immediately. Make sure to also select how long you’d like the auction to last (up to 24 hours).

With all of this done, you can check on your auction at any time by returning to the Buy & Sell menu and selecting Auction House > My Auctions. It’s important to note that you’ll receive a notification once your car sells, so be sure you follow up on it and accept the credits. Any credits not accepted will expire after 60 days, meaning your sale will have been for nothing — so don’t let your time and effort go to waste.

Don’t forget that you can also bid on other folks’ cars while you’re here. In many cases, it could be the only way you can get your hands on certain rare vehicles, so keep your eye out for cars that tickle your fancy and see if you can win ’em.

Forza Horizon 6 is available now on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version planned for release at a later date.
