Confirmed line-ups as Mastantuono starts alongside Rodrygo while Vinicius Jr is dropped

Real Madrid go to newly promoted Real Oviedo this evening looking to make it two wins from two to start the new La Liga season.

Xabi Alonso marked his first league game in charge on Tuesday night with a 1-0 win over Osasuna courtesy of Kylian Mbappe’s penalty.

But it was a disjoined display from Madrid and Alonso will hope for better against an Oviedo side that secured their place in the top flight after coming through the Segunda Division play-offs.

Hosting the likes of Madrid is their reward and they, and their boisterous supporters, will enjoy the occasion after a 25-year absence from La Liga.
