Antigua and Barbuda Falcons capped off their Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 campaign by lifting their maiden title after defeating Jamaica Kingsmen by eight wickets in the final at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Jamaica Kingsmen posted 170/9 after batting first, but the Falcons produced a composed chase to complete the run chase and secure their first championship in the competition.

While the Falcons celebrated their historic title triumph, several players stood out across the tournament with outstanding individual performances. Quinton de Kock finished as the leading run-scorer, Alzarri Joseph topped the wicket charts, and Shadab Khan was named Player of the Series for his all-round contribution.

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons win maiden CPL title

Maaz Sadaqat gave Jamaica Kingsmen a strong platform, smashing 114 off just 58 balls. His innings included eight fours and nine sixes and came at a strike rate of 196.55, helping Jamaica reach 170/9 from their 20 overs. The Falcons’ bowlers fought back strongly, with Sufyan Moqim producing the standout performance. The spinner claimed 4/14 to keep Jamaica’s total within reach for the chasing side.

Antigua and Barbuda Falcons then produced a controlled batting performance to chase down the target with eight wickets in hand. Amir Jangoo anchored the innings with an unbeaten 57 off 34 balls, striking four boundaries and three sixes, as the Falcons completed their successful chase and lifted their first CPL trophy.

Shadab Khan named Player of the Series

Shadab was recognised for his all-round contribution throughout CPL 2026 and was named Player of the Series. He finished the tournament with 132 runs and 11 wickets, making an impact with both bat and ball for Jamaica Kingsmen.

Despite Jamaica falling short in the final, Shadab’s overall performances earned him the biggest individual prize of the tournament, with the Player of the Series award carrying prize money of INR 1.50 crore. Sufyan, meanwhile, was named Player of the Match for his match-winning spell in the final. His figures of 4/14 played a key role in restricting Jamaica before the Falcons completed the chase.

Quinton de Kock leads CPL 2026 run charts

De Kock finished as the leading run-scorer of CPL 2026. The South African batter accumulated 392 runs in 11 innings at an average of 43.56 and a strike rate of 143.07. The tournament also produced several other notable individual performances. Dasun Shanaka recorded the highest individual score of the season with an unbeaten 121 off 43 balls against Saint Lucia Kings, while Alzarri finished as the leading wicket-taker with 16 wickets from 10 matches.

Jeremiah Louis produced the best bowling figures of the tournament, taking 5/10 in 2.5 overs against Saint Lucia Kings. Chris Green topped the catching charts with 11 catches in 11 innings.
