Chelsea to return for Osimhen
Football Transfer Centre

Chelsea are prepared to make a renewed approach for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen at the end of the campaign.

The Blues were determined to sign the Nigeria international last summer, but they failed to convince him over a move.

The club made a late loan proposal which was accepted, but Osimhen refused to accept a significant pay-cut to join.

Osimhen ended up signing for Galatasaray on loan, but he is expected to pursue a bigger club over the summer.

Chelsea continue to monitor his situation and they are poised to make a permanent transfer bid this time around.

Osimhen’s release clause will drop to £63m from July and the Blues seem prepared to pay the reported transfer figure.

It remains to be seen whether a deal will materialise.

Osimhen is quite clear that he won’t accept a salary reduction. Chelsea will have to meet his demands to land his signature.

The 26-year-old has netted 17 goals alongside five assists for Galatasaray.
