Blundell joins Everton on permanent deal after positive loan spell

Everton have announced the permanent signing of Hannah Blundell on a free transfer.

Blundell spent the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan with the Toffees from Manchester United, while her contract with the Red Devils expired at the end of June.

The defender made 10 appearances for Everton in the Women’s Super League last season and provided one assist as they finished eighth.

Overall, she spent five years with the Red Devils after joining from Chelsea, but missed the 2024-25 campaign after giving birth to her daughter in March 2025.

“It is a proud moment for me and my family and is something I wanted to do,” Blundell told the Everton website.

“As soon as I knew Scott [Phelan] was going to be the manager, it was an easy decision. I want to play alongside these players.

“You could see the happiness we had at the World Sevens tournament in May. I think everyone showed their true colours. The club is a very special one.

“I am extremely proud to be wearing the badge properly this time. Hopefully we can create some special memories together.”
