Manchester City interested in Dean Huijsen

Manchester City have joined the race for Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen, according to GiveMeSport. Chelsea and Liverpool have already been interested in signing Huijsen in the summer transfer window, and now defending Premier League champions Man City are showing a keen interest in him.

Huijsen joined Bournemouth from Juventus last summer. The 19-year-old quickly established himself in the first team at the Cherries and is now widely considered as one of the best young defenders in the Premier League. The Spanish centre-back has scored two goals in 16 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Bournemouth so far this season.

Man City are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 44 points from 26 matches, two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, who have played 27 matches. Meanwhile, Bournemouth currently find themselves seventh in the league table with 43 points from 27 games, just three points off the fourth spot and have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League.
