Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali is determined to join Arsenal or Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to Manchester Evening News.

The Italian was linked with a deadline day move to the Gunners last winter. His agent had contacted the Gunners, but Arsenal did not make a formal offer to the Magpies.

Mikel Arteta‘s side continue to remain keen admirers of the 26-year-old, but it is claimed that Tonali would also be open to joining the Red Devils ahead of next season.

Tonali has been quiet regarding his future on a personal level, but there is anticipation that he will push for a departure in the coming weeks.

The Magpies don’t face the urgency to sell Tonali after Anthony Gordon‘s £70 million transfer to Barcelona, and could demand a higher fee to part ways with him.

It has recently been reported that they could hold out for as much as £100m for the former AC Milan man. Manchester City have also been linked with him this month.
