What to Wear on a Weekend Getaway — Autum Love

I always overpack for road trips. Like… embarrassingly so. And somehow, even with a bag full of “options,” I still end up wearing the same three things on repeat—and regretting everything else I brought. The jeans that dig in by hour two? No thanks. The top I swore I’d style? Never sees the light of day.

This time, I decided to do it differently. I wanted outfits I’d actually wear—not just aspirational pieces that look good in theory but feel like a chore to put on. I needed things that could handle a full day in the car, still look cute at a random lunch stop, and not wrinkle into chaos by the time I unpacked.

So I gave myself one rule: if it doesn’t work in at least two outfits, it’s not coming with me.

Everything I packed is comfortable, low-effort, and cute enough to feel like I tried—without actually trying. Here’s what’s coming with me this time—and yes, it all fits in one weekender bag.
