Wednesday Season 3's Major New Locations & Tyler's Story Teased By Star

Netflix is expanding Wednesday‘s map as season 3 takes the supernatural bunch to two key new locations.

After spending more time at the Addams Family mansion, introducing Hester Frump’s mansion, frequenting Willow Hill, and exploring more locations around Nevermore Academy and Jericho, the upcoming Wednesday season 3 will take Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan), and more into new waters. While Netflix has already confirmed that Wednesday will go to Paris in season 3, Doohan has now confirmed that the series will also follow up on a location teased in the season 2 finale.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Doohan gives a bit more context to Wednesday Addams’ trip to Paris, following the release of a first-look image of Wednesday and Thing outside the Eiffel Tower. The returning Wednesday cast member states that she’s in Paris “for her dark reasons,” following up on Wednesday, Fester, and Thing’s search for Enid in the closing moments of season 2. Additionally, Doohan teases that Tyler’s season 3 story will finally reveal the Hyde-focused location Isadora Capri (Billie Piper) told him about last season:

Hunter Doohan: “Of course [Wednesday is in Paris] for her dark reasons. I think it’s kind of a continuation of where you see her going off looking for Enid (Emma Myers) at the end of season two. You get to see where [Isadora] Capri was taking Tyler at the end of season two, and that storyline for me has been amazing because I’m just such a big fan of Billie Piper and her work. So yeah, anything other than that, I’d probably get fired. (Laughs.)”

While Doohan doesn’t confirm whether Tyler will be in Paris alongside Wednesday and Thing, he does indicate that Capri’s promise to Tyler in Wednesday season 2’s ending will be a significant focus in his season 3 storyline. At the very end of season 2, Capri finds Tyler at his parents’ graves, revealing to him that her father was a Hyde and she can take him to a place where Hydes don’t need a master in order to survive.

Capri’s revelation about her ancestry in Wednesday‘s Hyde species led to plenty of questions about where exactly this hidden Hyde community is located, how Capri has helped to keep them alive, and the true nature of her motives with Tyler. Now, Doohan reveals that Capri and Tyler’s time at this secret Hyde community location won’t be skipped over when season 3’s story picks up, and that he’ll share more important scenes with Billie Piper.

With Wednesday season 3 currently in production in Ireland, story details for the Tim Burton-directed and produced Netflix series’ return have been held tightly under wraps. Though the descriptions for the majority of new characters are still undisclosed, Netflix has announced some exciting newcomers in season 3’s cast, including Eva Green as Ophelia Frump, Winona Ryder as Tabitha, Chris Sarandon as Balthazar, Oscar Morgan as Atticus, Noah Taylor as Cyrus, and Kennedy Moyer as Daisy. Furthermore, Andrew McCarthy, Lena Headey, and James Lance have been confirmed for guest roles.

Netflix has still yet to announce a release date or window for Wednesday season 3, but the Addams Family spinoff series isn’t expected to return until at least 2027. Once filming is completed on the upcoming episodes, more announcements and reveals about season 3 are expected to follow from the streaming service.
