Uncharted Officially Returns After 9 Long Years

It seems as though 2026 is a year of major anniversaries, with The Legend of Zelda celebrating its 40th whilst Pokémon celebrates three decades. Now it seems as though Naughty Dog’s Uncharted franchise is also joining in when it comes to major milestones as its most recent entry, Uncharted 4, celebrates its 10th anniversary. Additionally, spin-off title Uncharted: The Lost Legacy celebrates its ninth.

Since its inception back in 2007 with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, the Naughty Dog franchise has become one of the most iconic in gaming, so it is no wonder that fans are eager to see Uncharted 5 announced in the near future. However, with Naughty Dog being hard at work on its brand-new IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, it may be a while until we see a continuation of its flagship franchise.

Luckily, it is not all doom and gloom, as Naughty Dog has announced its celebrations for Uncharted’s anniversary. It may not be news of Uncharted 5, but it is definitely the next best thing.

In a blog post titled ‘Celebrating 10 Years of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’, Naughty Dog has unveiled a bunch of free cosmetics that fans can get their hands on, alongside a message from Nathan Drake himself, and more.

How time flies when you’re treasure hunting! We’re so excited to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End alongside you, our awesome community. This is not just a milestone for the game and for our studio. It’s a chance to recognize all of your support for Nathan and Sam’s adventures.

We are still so floored by your love for this game over the last 10 years and counting! You’ve inundated the team with letters, cosplay, Photo Mode shots, and reaction videos letting us know how much Uncharted 4 means to you. We cannot thank you enough for that support – it’s what fueled our work on this thrilling series since it first began.

As mentioned, celebrations kicked off with a message from Nolan North himself as he thanked fans for their continued support for both the franchise and his performance as Nathan Drake over the past two decades. However, it is the free cosmetics that many of us have our eyes on, as they allow us to share our love for the franchise in style, starting off with a batch of free PlayStation assets.

Additionally, there are brand-new PlayStation avatars up for grabs which showcase some of the most well-known artifacts from the game. This includes “the Pirate Coin from Uncharted 4, the Tusk of Ganesh and disc of Ganesh from Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, and, to pay homage to the entire series, Nate’s iconic Sir Francis Drake ring engraved with “Sic Parvis Magna.”” These can be downloaded based on your region by simply putting the upcoming codes into the PlayStation Store:
