It is always amazing how much talent and creativity people have, and some of the incredible Mii characters made for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream continue to highlight that. Whether someone is using the in-game tools for facial components or the painting ability to draw whatever they wish on a Mii head, there is the possibility to make pretty much anyone or anything you want.
With a little creativity, the possibilities can be nearly endless for the kinds of Mii characters you can make in Tomodachi Life. In my own game, I added everyone from Mario and Luigi to Arin and Dan from The Game Grumps, and with a possible 70 Mii characters allowed, there’s still room for so many more. There are so many talented and artistic people in this community that even though the game is very new, there are already some stunning examples of Mii masterpieces.
Leon Kennedy Mii
By Fajin
Leon Kennedy from the Resident Evil series of games really could use a bit of time on a relaxing island full of chaotic and silly Mii friends. Coming from the survival-horror games that he’s used to, even some of the more outlandish scenarios in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream would seem extremely calm and harmless in comparison. Maybe he’d even enjoy kicking back with the minigames available.
One of the best places to find characters like this, often with instructions on how to recreate the Mii in your own game, is Tomodachi Plaza. This example of a Mii Leon Kennedy can be found there, having been created by user Fajin.
Princess Bubblegum Mii From Adventure Time
By Game8
Another good resource for finding some Tomodachi Life Mii ideas with tutorials on how to make the characters in your game is the website Game8.co. This Mii version of Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time caught our attention for its simplicity and accuracy. Any Adventure Time fan would enjoy having Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum of the Candy Kingdom around.
With 70 character slots in the game, one could easily create many of the Adventure Time characters. Perhaps if they like each other enough, they could all be roommates in the same house as well.
Furby Mii (Or Furbmii)
By Norrimore
As a teenager during the 1998 debut of Furby, and the chaos it brought, I had to laugh at this scarily perfect “Furbmii” created by Reddit user Norrimore. As a Furby itself doesn’t really have legs or any humanoid-ish body, Norrimore made the Furby portion of the Mii be only the head.
Somehow, the idea of a Furby taking over a humanoid body and replacing the head feels strangely correct, and I can only imagine how it would look to have this little Tomodachi character walking around on my island.
Freddy Fazbear As A Mii
By NuggetGX
Creating animal-like characters can be tricky in Tomodachi Life. Even with all the creative tools provided, the basic Mii is geared towards being a fairly humanistic likeness. However, the animatronic nightmares from Five Nights at Freddy‘s aren’t exactly normal animal shapes anyway.
Shared on the Tomodachi Plaza website, this cuddly animatronic Mii is designed by NuggetGX. If you’d like to recreate Freddy Fazbear for your own island, they have details, including the face paint and voice settings to make him, all shared in the gallery of images. Humorously, his personality is a “Considerate: Cheerleader.”
Mii Varka From Genshin Impact
By Alexi
The Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius from Genshin Impact was created in Mii form by Alexi on the Tomodachi Plaza website. This amazing recreation of Varka is about as accurate as you could get, with wonderful details made to his hair in particular.
In Alexi’s upload to Tomodachi Plaza, they have included pictures that show both the face paint for the character, as well as what facial features were chosen from the in-game options. Because they incorporated a mix, the eyes and mouth on Varka should still be able to move in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, making him a bit more of an immersive character than when they are entirely painted on.
Mii Karlach From Baldur’s Gate 3
By Game8
Many of us have spent a good number of hours lost in Baldur’s Gate 3, so much so that many of those characters can feel like familiar friends, or at least familiar. Evidently, the team at Game8.co thought this as well, as they made this fun Mii version of Karlach.
With the romance options in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, the romantic dalliances from Baldur’s Gate 3 can continue in a much sillier virtual space. Of course, who they romance may be a bit more ridiculous than any romancing done in the Forgotten Realms.
Pokopia Ditto Mii
By Alde402
Just prior to Tomodachi Life‘s release, cozy gamers were also able to enjoy the relaxed life sim Pokémon game, Pokémon Pokopia. In Pokopia, your little Ditto character can transform into many different types of Pokémon to use their powers, but primarily, you spend the game being transformed to take on a human appearance.
Therefore, it makes perfect sense that these two cozy games would be blended with a humanoid Ditto Mii made for Tomodachi Life. This version, created by Alde402 on the Tomodachi Plaza website makes the Mii look even more Ditto-like by leaving the purple skin and hair.
Mii Link From Tears Of The Kingdom
By KingStreet
There are many iterations of several Nintendo characters, like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Zelda, and Link, in players Tomodachi Life games. While I had a rather poor attempt at creating a Toon Link for my island, KingStreet on Tomodachi Plaza did an incredible job at recreating the Tears of the Kingdom Link for their game.
The eyes on this Link are painted on, and look impressively vibrant and natural for the game, although this does mean that they will not blink during gameplay. KingStreet also has a Zelda from TOTK creation if you’d like to see the set.
Mii Kirby Made Without Paints
By Anchan_246
Like the above-mentioned Furby, this take on Kirby uses just the Mii character’s head to encapsulate Kirby. Impressively, the creator, Anchan_246 on X, stated that it is made entirely without the use of paints. Kirby’s feet here are made using sunglasses that have been colored and lowered down to where his feet would be.
This is an absolutely incredible use of the in-game tools that Tomodachi Life provides, and is so creative that it deserves a gold star. Especially because the eyes and mouth also work normally due to using the in-game items. While it is a little off-putting having Kirby on top of someone’s body, it is still very cool.
The Koopa King, Bowser Mii
By Joka Beary
Currently, the most liked Mii on the Tomodachi Plaza website is this Boswer, made by Joka Beary. Using paint for the mouth and horns, and coloring the face and hair to match Bowser’s coloring, the King of the Koopas is impressively made. It almost has a Jack Black type of look, which is fitting given that Jack Black voiced Bowser in the movies.
As the game is out longer and more players get their hands on these tools, there will undoubtedly be even more Mii characters that will amaze us. The creativity and talent of the gaming community knows no bounds, and I only wish that there was an easy way to share our Mii creations easily within Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.
