Warrior is one of Hardy’s universally beloved movies. The sports drama stands at a high 84% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 191 reviews. That score saw Warrior earn the coveted Fresh label on the review aggregator. Hardy’s action movie also boasts an even better audience score, with Warrior currently standing at a near-perfect 92% with viewers. That positive reception explains why Warrior has found new life on streaming.

Based on a reported budget of $25 million, the gritty action drama needed to finish its theatrical run between $50 million and $62.5 million to break even. That projection accounts for the film’s production budget, its marketing spend, and other expenses. However, Warrior only racked up a shy $24.2 million in theaters despite the positive reviews and audience reaction to the Hardy drama. Now, 15 years later, Warrior has finally found redemption on streaming.
