The Iron Tangle Officially Arrives Next Month

Self-publishing is always a risky business, but if one person has nailed it, it is definitely author Matt Dinniman. After originally self-publishing his science fantasy LitRPG novel, Dungeon Crawler Carl, the series later got picked up by Ace Books, and since then, the record-breaking series has not only cemented itself at the top of the LitRPG charts, but it has also been given the green light for a television adaptation courtesy of Peacock.

With eight books now available as part of the Dungeon Crawler Carl book series, the story of Carl and Princess Donut is far from over, as fans can look forward to the aforementioned show, as well as graphic novels, card games, and TTRPG experiences set in a world where aliens have taken control of the Earth’s resources.

Dungeon Crawler Carl Hits the Decks

Telling the story of Carl, who is joined by his ex-girlfriend’s cat, Princess Donut, the pair must embark on a dungeon crawl as part of an intergalactic television series, and it is this dungeon that is being recreated as part of a brand-new release arriving next month.

Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable is a card-crafting deck-building game suitable for solo or group play. Set in the World Dungeon from Matt Dinniman’s beloved LitRPG series, it will allow players to explore various dungeon levels by enhancing abilities and equipment by crafting specific cards along the way.

As you go floor-by-floor, you will be able to take on the role of either Carl or Princess Donut as you run the risk of losing health and maxing out the upcoming danger as, as you can probably expect, there will be a boss waiting for you to defeat it before you can advance.

Designed by John D. Clair and published by Renegade Game Studios, Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable is available for pre-order now ahead of its launch next month, but that is not all.

There Is Plenty of Room To Expand

As well as the base Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable pack, you will also be able to get your hands on expansion packs, adding even more levels to your dungeon crawl. One example is Dungeon Crawler Carl Unstoppable: Iron Tangle, which is also available for pre-order on the Renegade Game Studios website.

Costing a respectable £24.00, Iron Tangle’s official item description reads as follows:

Welcome to the Fourth Floor of the World Dungeon: The Iron Tangle! You’ll get lost in the thousands of interconnected subway tunnels, with new monsters popping up out of every corner. Luckily, you’ve leveled up your game and have access to some new Tactics, Allies, and Upgrades to help you against these dangerous new threats. Find your way to the stairs, or look for alternate paths out, just don’t get stuck in The Abyss!

As such, players can expect the Unstoppable dungeon to continue thanks to the addition of Floor 4. Additionally, Iron Tangle will include new tactics, upgrades, and threats, the ability to travel on the Nightmare Express, a new dungeon level, five new bosses, and more. However, you will need to own Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable in order to play Dungeon Crawler Carl Unstoppable: Iron Tangle, which usually is the rule when it comes to expansion packs.

Luckily, this stunning card-crafting game launches just next month on 23 November, so if you want to secure your copy, make sure to take advantage of the current sale!
