Daredevil: Born Again season 2 gets a major update from Wilson Bethel ahead of Bullseye returning in the Marvel Cinematic Universe TV show. Following the Daredevil: Born Again season 1 ending, Matt Murdock is about to face his most challenging MCU arc yet, thanks to Mayor Wilson Fisk.
As vigilantes are now outlawed in New York City, the landscape is changed forever for all the superheroes, with Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set to explore crime-fighters having to run from the law more than ever. After having a handful of pivotal episodes in season 1, Bethel’s Bullseye will play an even bigger role in Daredevil: Born Again season 2.
ScreenRant’s own Joe Deckelmeier recently caught up with Bethel for his new Netflix series, Untamed, where he gave some intriguing updates about Bullseye’s return in Daredevil: Born Again season 2. After being asked about Daredevil and Bullseye seemingly teaming up next season, Bethel shared the following:
ScreenRant: Daredevil: Born Again is coming back for season 2. What would you like to see with the characters? It seems like you and Daredevil might be teaming up a little bit.
Wilson Bethel: You’ve seen footage of this?!
ScreenRant: There’s rumors out there!
Wilson Bethel: I don’t want to spoil anything, but we literally just wrapped shooting two or three days ago. I am so incredibly proud of the work we did on this new season. I think it’s legitimately going to blow people’s minds.
There’s not too much I can say without spoiling it this season, but for fans of Bullseye and the Dex character, I get to do some things that are completely new and novel and insane and crazy. I think some of the best work I’ve done on Daredevil, and maybe on any show, will be out in this new season.
I’m very excited for people to see it. I’m thrilled, man. It’s one of the jobs that I’m most proud of in my career, so I can’t wait for people to share in it.
While an exact date has yet to be revealed, the Daredevil: Born Again season 2 release in 2026 is expected for March. Unlike season 1, Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will consist of eight episodes instead of nine.
When it comes to the Daredevil: Born Again season 2 story, Marvel Studios is keeping details under wraps, regardless of what has been revealed through set photos or videos so far. Even though Bethel and Charlie Cox have been spotted together as potential allies in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, neither of them will be able to speak about it since it is a spoiler.
But based on Bethel’s newest comments, it definitely sounds like Bullseye will have a more crucial role in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, in comparison to season 1. Whether that will be for the whole season or just a couple of episodes in Daredevil: Born Again season 2 remains to be seen.
Hearing Bethel’s excitement for fans about Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is incredibly appreciated, especially as Bullseye has become one of the best aspects of the Daredevil mythology in the MCU. The idea of seeing Dex and Matt having to work together or even interact with someone like Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is very exciting.
With Daredevil: Born Again season 2 filming has finished, time will tell when the first trailer will finally be released. Hopefully, as 2025 progresses, more updates on Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will emerge sooner rather than later.
Untamed is set to release on Thursday, July 17, only on Netflix.
