Apple TV’s smash-hit comedy series, Ted Lasso, is back with its much-anticipated fourth season, and just as exciting as the returning actors are the new faces who make up AFC Richmond’s Lady Greyhounds. At the end of Ted Lasso season 3, Keeley (Juno Temple) pitched the idea of a women’s team to Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), and the season 4 premiere sees them and Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift) fly to Kansas City to convince Ted (Jason Sudeikis) to coach the new team.

As Ted makes his second trip across the pond, this time bringing his son Henry (Grant Feely) and ex-wife Michelle (Andrea Anders) with him, he faces a whole new set of challenges: not only do the Lady Greyhounds not have nearly the funding or the respect that their male counterparts enjoy, but the team is in its shaky early stages. It’s up to Ted, alongside the (justifiably) prickly assistant coach, Alice Chilton (Tanya Reynolds), to assemble the members they need and get the Lady Greyhounds working as a well-oiled machine.

In her glowing review of Ted Lasso season 4, ScreenRant‘s Kara Hedash referred to the new installment as a “soft reboot.” It’s an apt term, as the cast has undergone a significant overhaul. While the gruff men’s coach Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) and Ted’s right-hand man Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) are back, none of the original AFC Richmond men’s team are set to return. While they’re definitely missed, this makes sense as it paves the way for Ted Lasso ​​​​​​to focus on the fantastic new characters who make up the Lady Greyhounds.

Tanya Reynolds as Alice Chilton

Character: Not a member of the Lady Greyhounds, but their assistant coach, Alice Chilton was once a football player herself before a devastating injury sidelined her athletic career. Many are put off by Alice’s unfriendly demeanor — except Roy Kent, who finds her “hilarious” — though Ted appreciates her intense dedication to the team and sees her value.

Jude Mack as Katie “Boots” Quinn

Actor: Born in Lewisham, London, Jude Mack’s first acting credit is in the 2015 short film Wanderland. She has since guest-starred on British series Such Brave Girls and The Capture, as well as in Apple TV’s thriller series Prime Target. Rex Hayes & Aisling Sharkey as Siobhan & Niamh

The freshest newcomer in the Ted Lasso season 4 cast, Sharkey’s only other acting credits include the TV series Heirs of the Night, in which she played Ivy, and 2022’s Jurassic World: Dominion, where she took on the role of Madison.

Characters: Twins Siobhan and Niamh are also teammates on the Lady Greyhounds. As the younger twin, Niamh feels she has something to prove and is constantly picking fights with Siobhan on and off the pitch. An aggressive defender, Siobhan easily takes the bait.

Faye Marsay as Lizzie Davis

Character: Lizzie Davis is the new center back for the Lady Greyhounds. A single mother of a young son, Lizzie uses her parenting skills to play the role of tough peacekeeper with her teammates.

Abbie Hern as Gemma

Date of Birth: February 9, 1997

Actor: Abbie Hern was born in Pontypridd, Wales, and she began her acting career voicing the role of Niamh in the 2019 podcast Torchwood: The Story Continues. Her notable television credits include The Twilight Zone, Peaky Blinders, and My Lady Jane, and she also played Mae in the cast of Enola Holmes 2.

Credits: An ambitious law student, Gemma is also the Lady Greyhounds’ talented new striker in Ted Lasso season 4. Gemma once played on a team with Coach Chilton, and the two share a fraught history.
