Eva Marie Saint has passed away at the age of 102.
She played Superman’s adoptive mother, Martha Kent, in 2006’s Superman Returns, which is led by Brandon Routh as the titular superhero. Other major roles in her career include Eve Kendall in the 1959 Alfred Hitchcock movie North by Northwest and Edie Doyle in 1954’s On the Waterfront. For the latter, she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and was the oldest living Oscar winner prior to her death.
