Steam Drops 4 Free Games You Can Download Now, No Strings Attached

Steam has just dropped four new games that you can download and play entirely for free, no strings attached, no single demo experiences. A lot of the free experiences on the gaming platform revolve around demos for paid titles, but there are also several entirely free-to-play games, and many of them are added every week. Just recently, Steam dropped a 10/10 viral game for free, and all you have to do is claim the title for yourself and start playing – preferably with friends.

Now, there are four new options for players to grab, all of which are entirely free. Three of the freebies were highlighted in a post made by user Free Steam Games on X, while another of them is showcased on Steam. To start playing them, all you have to do is claim them on their respective product pages. Once this is done, they’ll be added permanently to your library, from where they can be downloaded. It’s as simple as that.

These four games offer very different gameplay experiences to players, so you may want to check out those that most appeal to you – though you are free to grab all of them, even if some of them sit at the end of your backlog for a while. The first of the four free games on Steam, Hyper Glee Semik, is a highly stylized first-person shooter, where you need to fight hordes of candy brought to life.

The list below highlights all four freebies on Steam:

VHS // Anima 021 is an exploration puzzle game that follows a found-footage style with retro graphics. Philly Ball is an arcade soccer game meant to be played with friends, making it a good contender for your next free party game on Steam. Lastly, Skillwood is described as a relaxing woodcutting simulator that mixes survival sims and incremental games. Depending on what your vibe is, it’s very possible that among these four freebies, you may find something great to spend your time with.

For fans of fun, fast-paced shooters, Hyper Glee Semik is a great choice, and it looks amazing. VHS // Anima carries a touch of horror as you explore liminal labyrinths, so if you’re still feeling the vibes from the amazing Backrooms movie, you may want to check this out. Philly Ball seems like chaotic fun, and Skillwood does seem cozy. Moreover, Skillwood boasts an impressive 92% approval rate among players on Steam, so that may convince you to check it out, should it match your preferred genre.

There are always exciting freebies to claim as your own and keep forever on the platform, and many of them can easily fly under your radar. These four free games on Steam all seem like great options to spend some time with, so be sure to download them and play them at your own pace.
