Solo Leveling Just Stealth Dropped 2 Official New Manhwa Chapters

Fans waiting for new Solo Leveling anime news just got an unexpected surprise. While Season 3 remains unconfirmed and Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is still paused indefinitely, the franchise quietly released two brand-new official manhwa chapters through Solo Leveling: Arise. The game’s second anniversary update introduced original Hunter Origin stories centered on Myro and Antoine Martinez, two characters with some of the bleakest backstories in the entire series.

Developed by Netmarble, Solo Leveling: Arise has increasingly become the franchise’s main source of fresh content in 2026. The free-to-play RPG already expanded the universe with original Hunters, new lore, and side stories, but these latest one-shots, available on Netmarble’s official website, go even further. Instead of focusing on flashy dungeon battles, both chapters dive into tragedy, grief, and the emotional cost of becoming powerful in the Solo Leveling world.

Myro’s Story Introduces One of Solo Leveling’s Most Tragic Characters

The first new chapter follows Myro, a world-famous pianist who originally lived as an ordinary civilian without Hunter abilities. Her life collapsed after a newly awakened Hunter became obsessively attached to her. During one of her concerts, the stalker massacred the audience using his powers before abducting her, destroying both her career and public image in a single night.

While imprisoned, Myro was exposed to the mysterious Eternal Sleep condition, the same illness connected to Sung Jinwoo’s mother in the original series. Refusing to spend the rest of her life under her captor’s control, she attempted to burn herself alive. At that moment, Baran, the Monarch of White Flames and King of the Demons, appeared before her with an offer of revenge.

The chapter reveals that Myro became Baran’s chosen successor, a major addition to Solo Leveling lore. Ragnarok previously implied that most Monarchs personally selected heirs, but the Demon Monarch’s successor remained unclear. Myro finally fills that gap, while also adding another heartbreaking twist to the mythology. Even after surviving horrific abuse and becoming immensely powerful, her fate likely ended alongside the destruction of the Demon Race before Ragnarok began.

Antoine Martinez Expands Solo Leveling’s World Beyond Korea

Solo Leveling Arise Hunter Origins Manhwa - Antoine Martinez

The second Hunter Origin chapter focuses on Antoine Martinez, a National Level Healer from France who had previously existed mostly as background lore inside Solo Leveling: Arise. Unlike Myro’s supernatural story, Antoine’s tragedy feels painfully human. He was introduced as a devoted husband and father whose daughter suffered from a terminal illness that doctors could not cure.

During an emergency drive to the hospital, Antoine’s family was struck by a devastating traffic accident involving an 18-wheeler. In the middle of the chaos, Antoine awakened as a Hunter for the first time. He managed to carry his wife and daughter to safety on foot, but despite his efforts, his daughter eventually died from her illness shortly afterward.

Solo Leveling Season 3’s Biggest Fight Stuns In Epic New Trailer

The latest Solo Leveling trailer shows what is going to become the biggest fight in the anime’s third season, and fans do not want to miss it.

The emotional core of Antoine’s chapter comes after the tragedy. While grieving, he discovered his daughter’s diary, where she described him as someone strong enough to protect everyone around him. That message became the motivation for his future as a Hunter. The story finally explains how Antoine rose to become one of the world’s most respected healers, while also expanding the franchise’s international political landscape outside Korea’s Hunter system.

Both Myro and Antoine officially joined Solo Leveling: Arise as playable characters on May 7, 2026, alongside new boss fights, costumes for Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In, and additional story updates. With the anime’s future uncertain and Ragnarok still halted due to the artist’s military enlistment earlier this year, these two surprise chapters may be the most important Solo Leveling content fans receive for quite some time.
