Giggs on Palmer

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs believes the Red Devils should swoop for Chelsea playmaker Cole Palmer during the summer transfer window.

Palmer has had an injury-plagued campaign with the Blues, but he remains their best creative presence when fully fit and firing.

His current deal does not expire until June 2033, but the Englishman has recently expressed doubts about his future in his comments.

He has hinted that Champions League football could be key to him staying with the Blues, which suggests he could push for a summer exit.

Amidst this, Giggs believes United should pursue a deal for Palmer, and he would be a good fit on the right side of the Red Devils’ attack.

He said on Rio Ferdinand‘s YouTube channel: “Yeah, he would, Manchester lad. Where would he play with obviously Bruno [Fernandes] at No.10? He could play off the right, possibly.”

Palmer is also on the radar of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
