Moise Kean’s second-half header denied Real Madrid victory as Fiorentina recovered from 2-0 behind to earn a draw in a friendly at Klagenfurt’s Worthersee Stadion on Saturday.

Endrick – returning from the World Cup 2026 with Brazil – finished smartly on the turn to put the La Liga club ahead in the 12th minute before 18-year-old winger Alexis Ciria followed suit 12 minutes later.

Roberto Piccoli rifled in from a tight angle to halve the deficit with four minutes of the first half remaining and La Viola levelled 13 minutes after the restart when former Juventus and Everton forward Kean met Nicolo Fagioli’s cross in clinical fashion.

The result is the first time Jose Mourinho has failed to win since his return for a second spell at Madrid, having overseen two friendly victories in July.

New Fiorentina head coach Fabio Grosso will have been as pleased by his side’s comeback as he would have been concerned by their poor start, replacing former Manchester United and Spain goalkeeper David de Gea with Oliver Christensen at half-time.

Mourinho did not make his first change until he brought on Jorge Cestero for Ciria in the 64th minute, perhaps indicating that the Portuguese sees the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Endrick as starters.

New forward Carlos Espi, who joined Madrid from Levante for around £21.4 million on Thursday, came off the bench in the 75th minute.
