Released back in 2022 as the first installment in the ninth generation of Pokémon, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet took players to the Paldea Region and, unlike previous entries in the long-running Nintendo franchise, it was the first to feature an open-world. With three separate stories for the player to complete, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was praised for its addition of 120 brand-new Pokémon as well as the addition of Paradox Pokémon.
Not only that, but the 2022 entries also received praise for the Terastal phenomenon, which would allow player’s Pokémon to transform into an exclusive ‘Tera Type.’ This allows particular ‘mon to completely change up their playstyle by altering their defensive weaknesses as well as boosting the power of any moves matching the Tera Type.
Despite receiving mixed reviews due to its myriad of technical issues, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet still managed to reach over 10 million copies sold in its first three days, and since receiving a Nintendo Switch 2 update back in June 2025, the game has found a new lease of life, especially thanks to its Tera Raids.
Taking place on 25 June and wrapping up on 2 July, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is hosting one last bid to welcome new players and see the return of those who have not picked up the game since launch. After all, Nintendo has been releasing regular updates and content for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet for the past four years, including various events, ranked seasons, and Tera Raids.
It is a Tera Raid that will be taking place on 25 June, as players will be able to team up to take on Hisuian Decidueye with the Mightiest Mark. However, with the Grass/Fighting Pokémon putting up quite a fight during the 7-Star raid, this will be no easy task. However, that is not all, as this Tera Raid in particular will mark the final time that all starter Pokémon will be present at the event for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Additionally, this particular Pokémon Scarlet and Violet event is a must-play for those missing out on Hisuian starters, as they are only available during this time. If not, you would have to go through the trouble of transferring them from your Pokémon Legends: Arceus save.
So, not only will you be able to get your hands on starter ‘mons, but defeating Hisuian Decidueye will also reward you with several exclusive rewards, such as currency and upgrade materials.
