On the fourth morning, Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips attempted to revive the chase with an aggressive partnership that briefly raised New Zealand’s hopes. New Zealand were eventually bowled out for 138, handing England a comprehensive 115-run victory. The result gives the hosts a significant advantage in the series and plenty of confidence heading into the second Test at The Kia Oval, where they will look to extend their lead and move closer to a series triumph.
