Ahh Nordstrom, the retailer we wish we didn’t love quite so much. Just kidding. Well, kind of. While Nordstrom is known for its premium price points and high-end designer pieces, there are tons of ways to save, and a lot of products are actually quite affordable.

Let’s not bury the lede. Timing matters, and Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale is on now! The sale runs from July 18, 2026, to August 9, 2026. During this time, you will find deals on brands that rarely go on sale at Nordstrom (or anywhere else!).
We’re talking discounts on UGG boots and slippers, Birkenstock sandals, Coach handbags, Dyson hair styling tools, adidas Gazelle sneakers and so much more! We’ve highlighted a few of our favorite finds below:

After this sale wraps up, Nordstrom will be hosting its Summer Clearance sale. This tends to take place in late August and runs through the Labor Day long weekend. Then you will find another major sale at Nordstrom in November: Nordstrom’s Black Friday sale.
2. Take advantage of RetailMeNot cash back at Nordstrom
Turn savings into a strategy. Before you start filling your cart with Nordstrom Anniversary Sale deals, make sure you download the RetailMeNot browser extension and/or the RetailMeNot Rewards app. If you don’t, you are basically throwing free money out the window. You can earn cash back on every purchase made at Nordstrom through RetailMeNot, which means a % of your total purchase will come back to you in the form of cash to use on future spends.
3. Become a member of the Nordy Club
If you’re not a member of the Nordy Club, take a minute and sign up right now. Did you do it? Great! Now that you’re a member of the department store’s free loyalty program, you can start earning rewards that can help you save at Nordstrom.
The way this program works is simple:
- After entering your phone number at checkout, you will earn 1 point for every $ spent at Nordstrom
- For every 1,000 points, you will receive a $10 note
Beyond the rewards points system, being a Nordy Club member gives you free two-day shipping (in select areas), a birthday perks and beauty perks. In addition, there are a number of benefits you can take advantage of at Nordstrom Rack as a Nordy Club member.
4. Use a RetailMeNot Nordstrom promo code
Before we dive into this one, just a quick heads up. Nordstrom does NOT offer promo codes for savings very often. Some retailers love a promo and coupon code and almost always have one available to use for extra savings at checkout, Nordstrom is not one of them.
However, that doesn’t mean that you will never find a coupon or promo code to use on your Nordstrom purchase. Always check RetailMeNot. 5. Score free shipping on your Nordstrom purchase

6. Get a Nordstrom credit card (and Earn Even More Points)
We wouldn’t recommend signing up for a new credit card for the sole purpose of saving. However, if you are a frequent Nordstrom shopper, it might be wise to look into. The perks of Nordstrom credit card include:
- $60 off your next purchase after sign-up
- Early access to Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
- Extra 5% off at Nordstrom Rack
- Earn more rewards points per purchase (at least 2 per dollar spent)
- Take advantage of Double Points Days
- Earn points on other purchases (outside of Nordstrom)

7. Shop at Nordstrom Rack and ‘Clear the Rack’ weekends
If you love Nordstrom and a good deal, you need to visit Nordstrom Rack. Nordstrom Rack often feels like a luxe version of a thrift store. It’s full of great finds and bargains, but the selection is so varied that it requires a bit more of a hunt. Which I personally love, tbh.
Nordy Club perks apply to shopping at Nordstrom Rack, too, including exclusive discounts and early access to new arrivals and sales. Nordstrom Rack also hosts “Clear the Rack” weekends, which are as exciting as they sound: major savings events with tons of extra markdowns.
8. Request a price adjustment from Nordstrom
Just invested in that gorgeous Dôen dress you’ve been eyeing for months only to see it marked-down? Have no fear. Nordstrom has a little-know, but impressive price matching policy! If Nordstrom itself or a competitor (see list below*) marks down the price of an item you’ve purchased, you can request a price adjustment! You must do this within 10 days of your shipment date. And keep in mind the terms and conditions, of course.
*Details to keep in mind:
1. The product must be identical in color and size
2. The product must be in stock at both Nordstrom and the select competitor
3. You can only request price adjustments for products available at the following retailers: Freepeople.com, Katespade.com, Nike.com, Amazon (must be sold and shipped by Amazon), Bloomingdale’s, Finish Line, Foot Locker, Macy’s, Mr Porter, Neiman Marcus, NET-A-PORTER, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sephora, Shopbop, Ulta Beauty and Zappos.
