Manchester United could miss out on signing Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens after an improved bid from Galatasaray for his services.
The Belgian has been identified as a top target for the Red Devils, and the club recently made contact with Antwerp to negotiate on a €20 million deal.
However, they have now received a setback. Galatasaray recently sent a representative to Antwerp to make a better proposal for the 23-year-old.
Antwerp are evaluating the offer on the table, and United now need to make an improved bid to convince the Belgian outfit to sell the player to them.
Meanwhile, United have yet to agree on personal terms with Lammens.
Lammens recently opened the door for a move to Old Trafford, but he is open to assessing other options on the table before the transfer deadline.
Hence, it is far from guaranteed that Lammens will be at United this season. Galatasaray could yet prise him away from Antwerp before the Red Devils.
