Man Utd set for financial boost from Garnacho sale

Manchester United are set to secure extra funds from the potential transfer of Alejandro Garnacho away from Chelsea this summer.

The Red Devils secured pure profit from Garnacho’s sale after agreeing a deal worth £40m during last summer’s transfer window.

Garnacho had a disappointing debut season with the Blues and the London giants have now made the decision to offload him.

Chelsea have set an asking price of £45 million for Premier League clubs and plan to demand around €50m from overseas sides.

United stand to benefit from Garnacho’s exit, given they included a 10 percent sell-on clause during his sale to the Blues last year.

As things stand, Chelsea have not received any offer on the table for the Argentine, but the Blues are hopeful of doing so pretty soon.

Roma are exploring a deal for the winger, having missed out on the opportunity to land Mason Greenwood from Marseille.

They prefer a loan with a buy obligation, but Chelsea are adamant that they will only listen to permanent transfer offers for Garnacho.
