Baleba ruled out for next three games

Manchester United midfielder Carlos Baleba has been ruled out of the Premier League clash against Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Cameroon international joined the Red Devils from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer despite picking up an ankle injury in pre-season.

United boss Michael Carrick said Baleba could play a part before the international break, but that now seems unlikely.

The midfielder is already ruled out of the Manchester derby and reports claim that he could miss the Brighton & Hove Albion and Fulham games too.

Baleba had a difficult 2025/26 season with the Seagulls. His poor run of form saw him dropped from the starting XI on a number of occasions.

He is currently nursing an ankle issue, and Carrick is unlikely to take any risks and could ease him back into action after the international break.

United will be eyeing a second-straight win over Man City. The Red Devils secured a convincing 2-0 victory over the Cityzens earlier this year.
