Manchester United are unlikely to compete with Chelsea to sign Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer, according to The Times.

The Red Devils are aiming to sign a new left-back, and they have been constantly linked with Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall.

Lewis-Skelly is another name that has been mentioned on a few occasions, but United are not exploring a move for the Gunners ace.

The 19-year-old can play in midfield or at left-back, and he would be a superb acquisition for any elite European outfit this summer.

United don’t seem interested at the moment, which means Chelsea could have a free run at signing the highly-rated Gunners graduate.

Lewis-Skelly is presently behind Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie in the pecking order for the left-back role at the English champions.

He was a midfield starter in the last month of last season, but Bruno Guimaraes‘ arrival means he could struggle for league starts.

Arsenal seem open to selling him for around £45m.
