Rashford could stay at Man Utd

Manchester United have opened the door to keeping Marcus Rashford in their squad for the 2026/27 season, according to The Telegraph.

The England international fell out of favour under former manager Ruben Amorim and was loaned out to Barcelona last summer.

He had a good stint with 28 goal involvements, but the Blaugrana decided against activating a £26 million buy-clause in the loan contract.

It is now claimed that United have opened the door to reintegrating Rashford back into the squad, given manager Michael Carrick admires him.

Carrick is prepared to hold a private meeting with Rashford on his return from the World Cup and he could be convinced to stay put next term.

Rashford has been a fantastic servant for United on the left wing or upfront, and he could provide serious competition for places in both positions.

There is currently a £40m release clause in his contract valid for European clubs aside from Manchester City and Liverpool. No offers have been made due to his hefty weekly wages of £300,000.
